Payment Plan Agreements (Instalment Plans)

If you choose to purchase any DJ course or service using a payment plan, you are entering into a multi-step financial agreement. All payment plans are fixed-term commitments, not subscriptions. By selecting a payment plan, you agree to pay the full product price in instalments. The following terms apply to all payment plans:

  • Customer Accounts: You will need to create a customer account to purchase a DJ course with a payment plan. Guest checkout is disabled for these products.

  • Initial Deposit: An initial deposit will be required for all payment plans and must be paid in advance of commencing any DJ courses. The payment plan starts immediately upon a successful checkout.

  • Payment Deadlines: Each payment plan instalment, including the initial deposit, must be paid at least one (1) day in advance of each block of sessions within the DJ course to ensure studio hire and tutor payments can be covered. All payment plan instalments must be completed before the final block of sessions of the course. Failure to clear the full balance of each instalment by each payment date will result in the suspension of your DJ course until the balance is cleared. We reserve the right to cancel your DJ course if no attempt is made to clear the balance for any payment plan instalment.

  • Payment Methods: Payment can be made using debit or credit cards. Digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Link) or Buy Now, Pay Later services (Klarna or Afterpay) are not available to be used for payment plan instalments.

  • Failed Payments & Past-Due Balances: If an automatic instalment payment fails, our system will automatically attempt to retry the charge. You will be granted a grace period of five (5) business days from the date of the failed payment to update your payment method and settle the past-due balance. If the balance is not settled within five (5) business days - or prior to the 1-day payment deadline date - your course enrolment will be paused, and you may lose your spot in the course if the balance is not cleared promptly.

Refund Policies

Payment Plans

Payment plans represent a commitment to purchase the full course. If you choose to cancel your enrolment mid-schedule, refunds will not be given for any sessions that have already been taken. If collected instalments cover any future sessions that have not been taken, we will issue a partial refund covering the value of any unused sessions. We’re not currently able to offer refunds for our 12-Week Group DJ Courses due to the discounted price and impact on the rest of the group. If you purchase a 12-Week Group DJ Course, you remain legally responsible for completing all remaining payments on your plan unless a replacement student is found.

eBooks

Due to the nature of these digital products, refunds will not be available for the purchase of any eBook, including the ‘Beginner’s Guide to DJing’ eBook.

Online DJ Lessons

Online DJ lessons can be cancelled or rescheduled at any time before the lesson is due to start. Refunds will not be available if the start time for the lesson has already passed.

No-shows will be offered a second chance to reschedule the session if a legitimate reason is provided. We retain the right to decide on a case-by-case basis whether to reschedule free of charge. Refunds or rescheduling the session will not be available if a student fails to show for an online lesson a second time.

If multiple online lessons have been purchased, these can be cancelled, rescheduled or refunded at any time providing no lessons have already been scheduled and completed. If one (1) or more lessons have already been completed, partial refunds will be available for the remaining lessons. If you would like to cancel your online lessons and request a refund please get in touch via our contact form.

Once your request has been made, we will cancel your order and your purchase will be refunded automatically. This will be processed via our payment processor, Stripe, and you will receive a full refund minus payment processing fees from the original transaction. You will receive a partial refund for any uncompleted lessons if multiple online DJ lessons were purchased. Refunds can take between 5-10 business days to show up in your account.

Refunds will not be unreasonably denied if online DJ lessons are cancelled before they are due to start.

In-Person DJ Lessons at Pirate Studios

In-person DJ lessons at Pirate Studios can be cancelled or rescheduled at no additional cost any time up until four (4) hours before the lesson is due to start. This is in line with Pirate.com's cancellation policy for studio bookings. Credit refunds with Pirate.com are no longer possible within four (4) hours of a booking so unfortunately, a new booking would need to be made and paid for by the student if a lesson needed to be cancelled and rescheduled within four (4) hours of the session start time.

If you would like to cancel your in-person DJ lesson(s) and request a refund please get in touch via our contact form.

Once your request has been made, we will cancel your order and your purchase will be refunded automatically. This will be processed via our payment processor, Stripe, and you will receive a full refund minus payment processing fees from the original transaction. You will receive a partial refund for any uncompleted lessons if multiple in-person DJ lessons were purchased. Refunds can take between 5-10 business days to show up in your account.

Refunds will not be unreasonably denied if in-person DJ lessons are cancelled at least four (4) hours before the lesson is due to start.

Full refunds will not be available within four (4) hours of the lesson or course starting or after the start time for the session has already passed.

A new studio booking at pirate studios will be required to be paid for by the student if an in-person DJ lesson is requested to be rescheduled within four (4) hours of the session start time.

If a refund is requested within four (4) hours of the session start time, you will receive a full refund minus the cost of the studio hire at pirate studios and minus payment processing fees from the original transaction, unless the tutor has already begun travelling to the session. This will be processed via our payment processor, Stripe. Refunds can take between 5-10 business days to show up in your account.

Refunds will not be available if in-person DJ lessons at pirate studios are requested to be cancelled or rescheduled when the tutor has already travelled to the studio or is in transit to the session. Partial refunds may be available and this will be determined on a case-by-case basis. We hold the right to determine the refund amount or deny a refund if the tutor has already begun travelling to the session.

In-Person DJ Lessons at Student’s Homes

In-person DJ lessons taking place at a student’s home can be cancelled or rescheduled at no additional cost up to two (2) hours before the session start time. Full refunds will not be available if the tutor has already begun travelling to the session. A £20 travel fee will be incurred to reschedule the lesson if requested within two (2) hours of the session start time.

If a refund is requested within two (2) hours of the session start time, you will receive a full refund minus the travel portion of the original purchase amount (£20) and minus payment processing fees from the original transaction. This will be processed via our payment processor, Stripe. Refunds can take between 5-10 business days to show up in your account.

4-Week DJ Crash Courses and 8-Week Beginner to Pro Solo DJ Courses at Pirate Studios

4-week and 8-week DJ courses at Pirate Studios or individual course sessions at pirate studios can be cancelled or rescheduled at no additional cost any time up until four (4) hours before the first session or any individual session is due to start. This is in line with Pirate.com's cancellation policy for studio bookings. Credit refunds with Pirate.com are no longer possible within four (4) hours of a booking so unfortunately, a new booking would need to be made and paid for by the student if an individual session needed to be cancelled and rescheduled within four (4) hours of the session start time.

12-Week Beginner to Pro Group DJ Courses at Pirate Studios

Due to the discounted price, our 12-week group DJ courses require three (3) students to be enrolled to cover costs. Therefore, if one (1) student pulls out, it would no longer be feasible to run the course for the other two (2) students. It’s not fair for the other two (2) students to miss out and for this reason, refunds will not be available for our 12-week group DJ courses. We kindly ask that you ensure you’re able to fully commit to the whole 12-week course before purchasing our 12-week group DJ courses.

If we’re able to find another student to take your place in the course, then we will be able to offer a partial refund for any uncompleted course sessions, minus payment processing fees from the original transaction. This will be processed via our payment processor, Stripe. Refunds can take between 5-10 business days to show up in your account.

Refunds will not be available if you miss any individual course sessions or need to reschedule within four (4) hours of any individual session starting as the session will still take place for the other two (2) students. If you’re not able to make an individual course session, please let your tutor know more than four (4) hours in advance so we can reschedule the session to a time that suits the group.

4-Week DJ Crash Courses at Student’s Homes

4-week DJ crash courses or individual course sessions taking place at a student’s home can be cancelled or rescheduled at no additional cost up to two (2) hours before the first session or individual session start time. Full refunds will not be available if the tutor has already begun travelling to the session. A £20 travel fee will be incurred to reschedule any individual session if requested within two (2) hours of the session start time.

If a refund is requested within two (2) hours of the first session start time, you will receive a full refund minus the travel portion of the original purchase amount for one session (£20) and minus payment processing fees from the original transaction. You will receive a partial refund for any uncompleted course sessions if you have already completed at least one (1) of the course sessions. This will be processed via our payment processor, Stripe. Refunds can take between 5-10 business days to show up in your account.

Gift Cards

Gift cards can be cancelled and refunded at any time providing they have not previously been used. Partially used gift cards are not able to be refunded. If you would like to cancel your gift card and request a refund please get in touch via our contact form.

Refunds for gift cards will be processed via our payment processor, Stripe, and you will receive a full refund minus payment processing fees from the original transaction. Refunds can take between 5-10 business days to show up in your account.
